Will a Ram upgrade from 32GB to 64GB Make a difference - Mac Pro

      Hi There,

First time post, so apologies if this has been covered off.

I am hiring some Mac Pro Towers for an outside broadcast and I was wondering if it was worth upgrading from 32GB to 64GB RAM for Premiere CC use

      Here are my considerations:

      - Mixed format footage, proress 1080i60, Red, XDCAM EX, H264 (DSLR flavour), DvcproHD, Avid DnxHD

      - Working in a fast turn around broadcast environment

      - Working off a Fibre connected RAID over gigE (wondering if this would be a bottle neck to any RAM advantages)

      The MAC specs are:

      12 Core 2.6ghz

      ATI Raedon HD 5770

Not sure of the internal drive setup, but I believe it would be standard setup

I think that covers the background!

I was also wondering that base codec people are getting the fastest results for export with? I have been using prores with CC and there are definately differences in the speed in which is processed and exported as opposed to CS6

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences

      Cheers

      Chris
