Long time no see. I was worried about you after Sandy. Is everyone OK?
I don't have CC installed here, but I have no reason to think the rules have changed. Have you tried trashing the prefs yet?
They're all there for me: Document, All Docs, Story, To End of Story,
and Selection, both for Grep and Text searches.
That's ID CC 64-bit ME Win 7 Ult.
We got off lightly when Sandy hit. Far enough inland to not be affected by the storm surge and on the northern side of landfall so most of the moisture had been sucked from the air that was hitting us, as a result, while the winds were the strongest we've experienced, the trees were relatively dry and so were able to withstand better the strength of the wind. We did lose power for 10 days, though, which was more than just an incovenience when the in-house temperature slid into the mid-40s.
How about you? You're pretty exposed up there, aren't you?
As for my issue (btw, on this computer only, I seem unable to log-in here with my old identity -- I get redirected to this new one, which is the one I must use for my CC work), I think I'll start by just restarting InDesign. If that doesn't work, I'll try restarting the computer, and if that doesn't work, I trash ID's prefs.
Glad to hear you all did OK. Sandy was a non-event for us but we got kicked pretty hard last February by a no-name storm. Had to finally break down and buy a generator after three days of no power as the inside temp was down to 40 and I didn't want to lose the pipes, but sounds like you had it rougher than I.
Sounds like you know the drill for your ID misbehavior...
They've returned for me, too, after a simple restart of InDesign (well, nothing is simple these days -- InDesign crashes every time I quit).
I was working with some specific documents when the choices disappeared. Let me see if I can reproduce the circumstances.
Trashing my preferences (using the four-fingered salute) has solved crash on quit problem. Now, can I get it back to the way I like it without bringing the crashes back on?
I'm surprised you don't have a clean set stored as backup.
