CS5.5 can not use DNxHD as a Preview file format.
This will not affect the quality of your original footage,
or the ability to export your edited Project in DNxHD codec.
Preview files are intended for real-time Timeline playback only
(unless you choose to 'Use Preview Files' in the export dialog.
Installing the DNxHD codec will allow for import / export
of DNxHD codec files.

So basically I shouldn't be too worried about the video preview..? I'll be able to work on project without the preview in HQ?

Previews are for fluid Timeline playback in instances (effects added, etc.)
where you have a red (or yellow) line over your footage.
