I am having problems getting sound from video and YouTube due to recent installation of Flash Player 11.8.800.94 on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. I have installed, deleted and re-installed with no luck.

Perfect, this did the job. I think rebooting after deleting the folder might have done the trick. Thank you!!!

ok, I found the problem, I have an Intel motherboard (the same one for the last 3 years) with integrated realtek audio. It has a feature called multi-streaming playback, which always has been on.
With flash 11,8,800,94 every time I reboot there is no sound in flash, all I have to do is turn multi-streaming playback off, then turn it on again and restart the browser (either firefox or chrome) or reload the page and voilĆ” sound in flash as usual, weird isn't?
here is a document describing multistreaming playback
