BC users cannot log into ADMIN

BC users cannot log into ADMIN after receiving BC invite.

Happens with every new customer I set up as user.

When they get the invite from BC, Customer clicks on the link in the invite

– BC auto populates the user name with the new email address but results in error message.

What do I do wrong? Do they also have to be admin?

Hi,

Correct if the user needs access to the admin panel they'll need admin access.

If it's an email only user then webmail access can only be granted via mail.yoursite.com.

So make sure they have admin access enabled. Another thing to check is the password which may need resetting otherwise.

Instead of inviting them as a user - invite them as Administrator and designate them as a user?
BC user invite is only for email? Is that right?

Since I already sent the invite as user do I have to restet password and give it to them? Or will the system inviting as Admin allow them to set a password?

Hi,

Let me confirm your step...

You are inviting the new user and within the email should contain the site URL to login to the admin. If the password needs resetting it can be found via the admin login page under "lost your password?".

Now if this is continuing to happen for new users I would suggest reaching direct support so they can go over your steps to ensure everything is working properly within the site.

Yes - inviting new user is a automatic BC system thing that happens when entering a new user - it auto sends them invite - however every customer who receives this invite from the BC system, and they follow the link provided by BC - they get error message.

I do have the Users Permissions including the Admin access.

So now I just sent them the invite as Administrator with user access - see if that gets them in.

The admin invite in BC does not requrie @domin-name.com like the user invite does.
Since they are new I used there personal email addresses.

You can block that though and stop the email going out.

Oh ok - set them up as user but dont send the invite - then set them up as admin and send that invite.
