How i can create activator - serial number for my product?

    200x200

      Hi

I want my product find Motherboard serial and made a activate number for using software.

It must put activate number to a file and save it.

When an user load software it read number from file and permit him to use.

      1) How my script can find motherboard serial number?

      2) How my script can write and read on one file?

      3) Has director lingo any encryptor Function or method?

      Thanks

look up info on 'fileio' xtra re: writting and reading files

you can pull lots of computer info out of the win registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER etc. using the above method.

best to use buddyAPI it's easier!

              --sets up a gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_read&write

              global gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_write

              set gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_write to the PathName

              -- Writes a Test File

              set myFile=new(xtra "fileio")

              createFile(myFile, gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_write & "TEST.txt")

              openFile(myFile, gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_write & "TEST.txt",2)

              put "test file" into theText

              writeString(myFile, theText)

              closeFile(myFile)

              set myFile = 0

              -- Reads a Test File

              set myFile = new(xtra "fileio")

              openFile(myFile, gPathName_to_where_I_want_this_file_to_read & "TEST.txt",1)

              set ReadFile to readFile(myFile)

              closeFile(myFile)

              set myFile = 0

              put ReadFile
