You can include the initial paragraph style within an object style, and apply the object style to a text frame. Then you can use Next Style to chain paragraph styles which follow, one after another (e.g., Headline, Byline, Initial Paragraph, Body Text...)
There we go!
I was quite sure that it has to work somehow. It was no problem after figuring out, that i have to remove the differing paragraph styles.
Sorry, don't know the english name for that function, but maybe someone can post it for the other non-english indesigners.
Thanks Mr Werner!
Okay, it's not as easy as i thought... as always.
I expected, that the text box paragraph style will change automatically when i change the paragraph style itself. But "most of the time" nothing happens after that.. Any idea why?
As steve Werner said:
Create Paragraph style chain with Next style, then select some paragraph text, on the paragraph panel right click of the paragraph styel name Apply "Paragraph Style" then Next Style.
Next apply Object style include with the paragraph style you create.
At last you can right click on paragraph style name on paragraph panel to edit.
There is no back-and-forth relationship between the initial style assigned to a frame and the text within. Changing the text has no effect on the frame. Nor does changing a style affect other text that is already set (unless you really mean editing the style). The "next style" property, for example only works while typing, or when selecting a block of text and assigning a style "and Next Style" by right-clicking the style name you want to assign tot he first paragraph inthe block.
