Trying to add a MovieClip from the library to a TLF textfield using the following code:
var textFlow:TextFlow = chatOutput.textFlow;
var htmlText:String = "test <img src='smile' width='40' height='40'/> test";
chatOutput.textFlow = TextConverter.importToFlow(htmlText, TextConverter.TEXT_FIELD_HTML_FORMAT);
"smile" is the linkage name of a MovieClip in my library. However, it doesn't show up. The TLF textfield has a little gap where the MovieClip should show up but it doesn't. When I replace the MovieClip's linkage name with an online image it does work.
As far as I know, using html code will work like html code... it looks to load a file for a folder/server, not a library resource.
It should work with MovieClips, see here:
<img> tag lets you embed external image files (JPEG, GIF, PNG), SWF files, and movie clips inside text."
Anyone? Really need this to work
