Normally, all my exports go according to their settings. However, all of a sudden today, they started separating the video and the audio into M4V and AAC files, even though the export setting was for H264. I searched forums for this problem, and the solution was to turn on multiplexer. However, mine was already turned on.
Has anybody encountered and solved this problem and, if so, how?
Thank you so much!
You're the first I recall reporting it.
Not quite sure what you mean by "even though the export setting was for H264" or "mine was already turned on."
The first kind of implies that h.264 necessarily muxes, which isn't so. The second seems to acknowledge that there is a multiplexing option but suggests that it's binary: on or off. In fact, there are three options: MP4, 3GPP, and None. When it gets switched to None, the initial audio codec setting is AAC, which is what you're reporting as the end result.
My intent is not to be argumentative but to make sure we're all on the same page and to point out that we need greater specificity. A screenshot of the Export Settings dialog's Multiplexer tab would help. If it indeed shows MP4 or 3GPP.
