If you want to do it with Image Frames
Or you can use an Image frame along with the gridify options and keyboard controls
Thanks, but maybe I didn't word it correctly.
I don't need guides or frames I want to create something like this...
I'd want it to be visable when printed.
you can use table and set it's width and height to Exactly ( for same size).
also you can draw a horizontal and vertical lines and use step and repeat.
You can choose to have your Guides print by going to the Print options and selecting "Print Guides"
And you can change the colour of your rules to Black by going to Layout>Ruler Guides and change the colour.
Alternatively - you can still use the Gridify feature to draw a line and using the arrow keys you can add more lines accross.
Or use Step and Repeat
Or simply go to Preferences and go to the Grid Settings and set up the Grid how you want it - you can choose to print the Grid in the Print Options
Eugene's right about Step and Repeat. Here are the details:
Draw a vertical line on the left side of the page going from top to bottom. Keep it selected.
Choose Edit> Step and Repeat. Enter the amount of space between each column. You mentioned 1 x 1. I don't know if that's 1 inch, 1 pica, or 1 cm, but enter whatever you want in the Horizontal field. Leave Vertical as 0p.
Check Preview and change the number of duplicates to fill the page horizontally.
Now draw a horizontal line at the top of the page and open Step and Repeat. You want to make the Vertical amount the same as the Horizontal but then change Horizonal to 0.
Set the number of copies to fill the page. Click OK.
Now, here's the problem, most likely your printer won't print to the edge of the paper. That's a function of how office printers work. You need to print on an oversized piece of paper and then cut it down to size.
Sandee, that's exactly what I wanted to achieve. This method allows me to reduce the grid 1 line at a time to fit in the print markets.
Thanks for everyones help.
