2. Re: Combine PDF / Control View
mdl-eri-world Jul 25, 2013 5:00 AM (in response to Mike Gondek2)This does not address the issue. It only affects the initial view. Each bookmark created via Combine has an initial view of "page width" that overrides the initial view. The views of each bookmark - and I have hundreds - needs to be updated.

Try this utility to change all your bookmarks

4. Re: Combine PDF / Control View
mdl-eri-world Jul 25, 2013 10:14 AM (in response to Mike Gondek2)Thanks for the revised repsonse. I tried jpdfbookmarks and found that my pdf seems to be too large (500 MB) and fails on load. I found that I was able to rebuild it by grouping the 18 chapters into 18 files and jpdfbookmarking each of them individually. I also found that if I Combine them their bookmarks are changed to Width - but if I Document/Insert Pages/from file they are preseved. Took a little longer - but it is worth the effort. Thanks, agan.

6. Re: Combine PDF / Control View
mdl-eri-world Jul 26, 2013 5:39 AM (in response to Mike Gondek2)Thanks, Mike. I tried using the same files as input after applying this technique. What it seems to do is process the files as before (their BMs are still PageWidth) but I view it as PageFit. COnvenient for me, but I like the jpdfbookmarks fix as the best solution.
