    rtePlugin - Paragraph Format Selector

      Hi,

       

      Is anyone else experiencing the following issue:

       

      When enabling the paraformat plugin for the RTE, when you highlight a word that is within a paragraph and select a format for it, i.e. H6, it applies it to the entire paragraph and not just the selection...

          Hi

           

          It happens because if u have a paragraph as below

           

          "Geometrixx has been selling and servicing shapes for over 2000 years. From our beginnings as a small vendor of squares and rectangles we have grown our business into a leading global provider of platonic solids and fractals. Join us as we lead geometry into the future."

           

          if u check CRX u can see it as

           

          <p>Geometrixx has been selling and servicing shapes for over 2000 years. From our beginnings as a small vendor of squares and rectangles we have grown our business into a leading global provider of platonic solids and fractals. Join us as we lead geometry into the future.</p>

           

           

          when u select a tag from format , what cq does is ; it will check if that sentence has a <p> tag or any heading tag surrounding it. If yes it will replace the entire tag.

           

           

          For example u selected "selling and servicing shapes" from the above sentence and is trying to apply <h1> tag. When CQ checks the sentence it finds that the selected portion is part of a paragraph and it will replace that <p> tag with <h1. tag

           

           

          But if you break the sentence as follows

           

          "Geometrixx has been"

           

          "selling and servicing shapes"

           

          "for over 2000 years. From our beginnings as a small vendor of squares and rectangles we have grown our business into a leading global provider of platonic solids and fractals. Join us as we lead geometry into the future."

           

           

          now if you check CRX you can see

           

          <p>Geometrixx has been</p>

           

          <p>selling and servicing shapes</p>

           

          <p>for over 2000 years. From our beginnings as a small vendor of squares and rectangles we have grown our business into a leading global provider of platonic solids and fractals. Join us as we lead geometry into the future.</p>

           

           

          and if you select "selling and servicing shapes" now and apply <h1> cq will replace only the <p> tag surrounding that. If u select a single letter also in that and try to apply tag it will replace the tag surronding the entire para(<p> tag)
