I don't think so. More likely a local issue, possibly a problem with your image file. Have you tried converting the image to other formats?

3. Re: Export Media halts when it reaches still image
Nick Spiropoulos Jul 25, 2013 10:01 AM (in response to JSS1138)Tried PNG and TIFF. Same problem. The problem also occurs when a Premiere Pro generated "Black Video" layer is used on the timeline. So, the image itself is not the cause.
My co-worker has informed me that not using Preview Renders during Export prevents this problem. But this is not a solution for me as my current project takes over 15 hours to re-render.

What format are your previews?

Kevin-Monahan Jul 25, 2013 1:25 PM (in response to Nick Spiropoulos)Hi NickelplateSpiro,
How big is the native size of the still image?
Thanks,

6. Re: Export Media halts when it reaches still image
Nick Spiropoulos Jul 25, 2013 3:08 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)The previews are ProRes Proxy. They will changed to ProRes HQ in online. The image size is 800x600, its a placeholder that will be swapped out with a CG scene.

Hi NicelplateSpiro,
I see. Is the image RGB? Sometimes a CMYK image can slip by you.

Nick Spiropoulos Jul 25, 2013 3:43 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)No CMYK. It's RGB. The Black Video slugs generated by Premiere also cause halts on export.

9. Re: Export Media halts when it reaches still image
Jim Curtis Jul 25, 2013 6:06 PM (in response to Nick Spiropoulos)I've encountered this before and have always been able to fix it by converting the still to another format. Maybe you could change the size, too, and rescale it in Pr, just for a slap upside the head.
Instead of using video slugs, try saving a black still from Ps or Ae, and use that instead.
Also, your previews may be corrupted. Change something in the problem area, and force a re-render of the previews.
IOW, keep changing things up until you get a successful export. Good luck.

11. Re: Export Media halts when it reaches still image
Nick Spiropoulos Aug 15, 2013 1:26 PM (in response to Nick Spiropoulos)Still having problems exporting
I'm trying to export using my ProRes preview renders. Whenever there is partial transparency on a film dissolve to nothing the export halts, the progress bar stops.
Same problem when I have a letter boxing matte image file over nothing, the export halts, progress bar stops.
When ever there is an image file (any image file, small or large, filling s reen or partial) the export halts.
I'm in linear composite mode with an Nvidia k5000. 1920 x 1080 x 23.976.
Staff members please help and respond to my bug report, please.
