The ActiveX xtra is not Shockwave-safe, the following has a link to a
Or are you asking about including a Shockwave control on a VB6 form?

Are you giving the full path to the executable in the Lingo open
Otherwise, can you send a message from the Shockwave ActiveX control to
the VB program and get the VB program to p/invoke the file instead?
error sentence: open “d:\document.doc” with “c:\archivos de programa\microsoftoffice\office\winword.exe”
the message is:
Impossible to execute sentence of lingo.

> programa\microsoftoffice\office\winword.exe? the message is:
> Impossible to execute sentence of lingo.
Because there are spaces in (at least one of) the path(s), use quotes
open (quote & "d:\document.doc" & quote) with (quote & "c:\archivos de
programa\microsoftoffice\office\winword.exe" & quote)
(that should all be on one line)
Also, for opening documents, it is more reliable to use an xtra like
if err<32 then
alert("Could not open file. BuddyAPI error number=" & string(err))
Safe Andrew these that BUDYAPI (free) has the function baOpenFile?
