getting flash to work

Is there a live person I can talk to?  I posted my phone number then was scolded for doing so.  I have messed with the for two days now and nothing seems to work.  I installed the flash using firefox and nothing happens except the message to install it when I click on a you tube video.  Even tho the install program says it is installed...I am by no means an expert and I spent $400 today to a guy to clean the computer and he could not get it to work either.
