    Moving from Windows 7 PSE 10 to Windows 8 PSE 11

      Backed up catalog to external drive per instructions.  After many failed back-ups, finally got a back-up and now PSE (or Windows 8?) doesn't recognize my back-up and doesn't give me a choice to restore.  I see people have been having a lot of problems along these lines.  Any straight-forward fixes found?

          Let's try the following:

          - your external drive is connected to your computer

          - in the explorer or finder (Win or Mac) browse the folder containing the backup. This folder has a lot of files beginning by 'B000" and a file named 'backup.tly'. Double click it (or use the Mac equivalent) which should open the organizer and prompt you to restore the catalog.

           

          Does it start like this ?
