I thought on Friday (last time I used AE) that the problem was sorted but now its back again with that same error message
Turn off automatic switching between the two GPUs. When the computer switches from one GPU to the other (such as when entering power saving mode), it can cause problems.
Thanks for this Todd
I tried that and then got this error straight away
I have reduced the size of the project I'm working on and sectioned off then .c4d files etc I am working with just two .c4d files and two .AI files at the minute and it seems to be working fine up to now. When I tried the bigger main project even with the GPU switching unticked crash straight away!
Got to the point where I was going to render out a copy of the project and things went bad again and all I get is the original error message, one first posted at the top of the thread.
At this point, I think that you need to contact Adobe Technical Support and have them help you. There is clearly something very wrong here, and it'll be faster and more productive if you contact them and let them share your screen, help you troubleshoot, etc.
If you don't succeed with the first level of support, don't be discouraged; just ask to have your case escalated to the higher tier of support agent.
