Windows XP with ATI All-in-Wonder 2006 PCI Express graphics card. Pemiere Elements 11 chooses card for video & audio capture but captures no video or audio. Other capture software on system have no problem using the card. Why won't Premiere Elements 11 work properly?
For Capture, PrE needs to have a FireWire (IEEE-1394a) device connection.
I would just use the other capture software, and Save_As a format/CODEC, that PrE can work with, so no DivX/Xvid. I would try to stay away from WMV too, as it requires a lot of processing horsepower, and is heavily compressed.
I agree. All-in-Wonder and similar cards are made to work pretty much with the software that comes bundled with them.
To capture video you can edit in Premiere Elements, you'll need to capture through a DV Bridge, like the Grass Valley/Canopus AVDC/
