How to install Adobe Flash Player plug in on my new computer with Windows 8.

How can I install Adobe Flash Player which does not have a plug in on my new computer with Windows 8.  The instructions tell me that Flash Player is embedded in my Internet Explorer but all my choices for playig videos say no plug in is installed.
