Does it show the third item? Combo-boxes in Flash, like arrays etc are zero-based, meaning the first item is 0, the second is 1 and the third is 2.
No. actually this is just an example to show what i am trying to do. But i couldnt get this simple actionscript to work.
it always display the first item. I have absolutely no idea why.
What version of flash are you running?
Could you possibly have given two comboboxes the same instance name?
Have you tried doing it again in a fresh flash document? What you've described should work.
I am using flash player 7 already so it shouldn't be a problem.
I tried it again in a new flash file, and it didn't work neither.
Maybe I can give some more details...
I have a combo box in frame 1 with the following:
editable = false;
labels = [ -- select --, don't care, $1-100, $101-200, ... ,and up]
Data = [0,0,4,3,2,1]
rowCount = 6
No change handler implemented
Then in that same frame I have the following script (in the frame not in the combobox instance)
this.Attribute.selectedIndex = 2;
Again, thanks for help!
oh and of course, the combobox name was "Attribute" in the last post
i have no idea what's going wrong with your file as your description of what you're doing produce the correct results... check out my fla here. maybe compare mine to your own or post your fla if you still need assistance.
