Create index of links using the link's filename

This is for an InDesign book that contains about 475 photograph links. The photographs are by only three photographers. The photographer is associated with the filename by using the initials of the photographer as the first three characters of the filename. (e.g., the link PAV789C1234.jpg is associated with the photographer "PAV"). Is there a way using InDesign CS6 to create a "photo credits" text output showing all the links that have filenames starting with "PAV" and the page number where the link is used? One idea was to use the index function of InDesign, but I do not see a way to index on the link's filename, or on metadata associated with the file.
