So I have been into Premiere for a while now, not too long, but I know the program pretty good. However, I don't feel like my footage come out as crisp as a lot of other footage out there on the internet.
For example, I have a project right now which I have tried to render out with a really high bitrate to maximize the quality. Here's a link to the project on Vimeo https://vimeo.com/71570087 password: Adobe
I shot this with my Canon 6D, Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC (great lens btw) and a Sandisk 32gb 95mpbs card.
All-I (and not IPB)
Current render settings:
VBR 2 pass
Target bitrate: 20mpbs
Maximum bitrate: 30mbps
I kinda like the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and felt like it would be fun to try it on this project. I do know that I should match my render settings to the raw files and not bumping it up to 1080p, but I wanted to give it a try.
So, what settings do you suggest? File size is not a problem at all. Also, the natural lightning during the shoot varied a lot so therefore the shadows are different between the clips.
Thanks Joe! I also noticed that I wrote 1080x540 while the correct one that I'm using is 1920x880. Sorry about that. I tried the Vimeo HD preset in Premiere but found that my custom preset actually worked better.

That could very well be from the upscaling. If you want a 1080 export, shoot 1080.
