This came up the other day. That plugin appears to be related to VDP printing, possibly on an HP Indigo press.
Do you have the option to open the file anyway (I think you should)? If so, open it, and then export to .idml to strip out the plugin info.
Hi, thanks for this, tried that but it still won't open - comes up Indesign quit unexpectedly and then pages of text. Tried to open idml file in Indesign CS5, saved it as idml from CC but crashed when trying to open it in CC. I get the spinning will of death when I try and open the document in Indesign CC - and in the force quit applications - InDesign (not responding). Have uninstalled and installed the software too. Any other suggestions - thanks
Just thinking - could I try copy paste all 90 pages of my catalogue I am doing to a new INdesign CC file?? This catalogue was originally done in CS5
Can yoou export from CS5 to .idml? Then open that in CC.
And is CC working for you on other files? Lots of problems reported here that might also be a factor.
If you've force-quit ID you should probably also empty the InDesign Recovery folder so an unsuccessful auto-recovery operation doesn't interfere with getting back to work.
