OK so I have this photo of me and my son that I put on my "about" page on my website, I cut the background out using the background eraser tool, and it looks great on my website, but if I put it on an all black background I can see where some of the pixels that should have been erased have not been, I have spent hour cutting out the image, is there a faster more efficient way of doing this in the future?
The photo is at:
- You will see that I have cut out some of my son's hair, and didn't do the best job cutting out the image because I don't necessarily have the "steadiest" hand... Whats the best way to do this in the future, any help is appreciated..
May sound lame, but that's realyl one of those "Depends...." things. The specific techniques will vary from image to image and only practice and experience will tell you when to use what methods and tools.
It depends on what version of Photoshop you are using? If you have a fairly recent versions, then Quick select and refine Edge are the best tools for that sort of selection, and it would only take a couple of minutes. Google Martin Evening refine edge tutorial for a go guide on using the tools with the sort of image you linked to.
Otherwise, tell us what version of photoshop you are using?
