2. Re: The Action Wizard setting that saves PDF as Jpg only 200 dpi??
Bill@VT Aug 6, 2013 8:45 AM (in response to Steve Werner)In saving as TIFF files or such, I would have to check my AA XI on another machine. However, in AA 8, you can select the resolution of the save as settings as shown below:
I checked AA XI and had the same option for the settings. I selected TIFF as the Save As Other>Graphic and when selecting the settings got the screen above. The conversion settings were set to automatic, but can be changed. Based on what I read in your original post, this is what you were trying to do. If I misunderstood, I am sorry.

3. Re: The Action Wizard setting that saves PDF as Jpg only 200 dpi??
iBabs2 Aug 6, 2013 8:54 AM (in response to Steve Werner)Hi Steve,
Thank you for getting back to me....
I can't go the Photoshop route, that is the problem.
I need to find a way to automate a batch a folder of PDF files to open and convert each file (and each page) to a JPEG at 300 dpi.
I can't do any actions in Photoshop, I have tried, but Photoshop only does the fist page of the PDF...I don't think there is anyway in Photoshop to use an action to open up all the pages.
I have been playing with some applescripts that I found, but they too are not working right.
So, I figured I would see what Acrobat has built in, and this would be perfect, if I could only find a way to get them to be 300DPI.....
Probably someone who knows JavaScript, could figure out how to incorporate that, but since I don't know that language, I am trying to make this work...
Thanks

iBabs2 Aug 6, 2013 8:56 AM (in response to Bill@VT)HI Bill,
I will try that...maybe it is the setting that was last set....will be back shortly after testing!

5. Re: The Action Wizard setting that saves PDF as Jpg only 200 dpi??
iBabs2 Aug 6, 2013 9:02 AM (in response to iBabs2)Hi Bill,
I think this will work....I set the export tiff setting to 300dpi. I batched the PDF files and they saved every page of each PDF file at 300DPI. Now I can just make a Photoshop action to save them as the jpeg 300 DPI and the 72DPI version that I need.
It's two steps, but it will work
Thanks to you both!!!!!

6. Re: The Action Wizard setting that saves PDF as Jpg only 200 dpi??
iBabs2 Aug 6, 2013 10:59 AM (in response to iBabs2)Hello again...
Actually, I did get 300 DPI images to work out of Acrobat...I just had to make that the default setting on an open document...then when I ran the action, it defaulted to the last used setting
