    outer glow

      is there a way to make an outer glow more than one color == like a rainbow?

          Use a Stroke - set the stroke Fill to Gradient, the gradient mode to Shape Burst, then adjust the gradient.

            Hi T.Bux,

             

            You definitely can!

             

            Once you have created your shape, go to Layer --> Layer Style --> Outer Glow.

            From here, Select the MULTICOLORED drop down. This will show a few gradient presets.

            You can also set your own preset and select your own colors by clicking New Gradient.

            Click OK and you should be done! As you can see in the preview above, the circle now has a colorful glow.
