Using files from external hard disk for editing in Premier Pro

    Nikhita P. Level 1

      Hi there,

I am using TGA rendered files from an external hard disk to edit on premier, and it is taking forever to preview, and it crashes very often. The TGA files were exported from an after effects project. Now I have two options:

      1) I can transfer the TGA files onto my internal hard disk (will that make premier run faster?)  OR

      2) I can render it from After Effects as a lossless video file and then edit it in premier.

In option #2 will the export taken by Premier from the AE video files be of lesser quality as it is being exported the second time? Also, what render settings do I use in AE to get a completely lossless video file?

Thanks for the help in advance.
