I have premere elements 11 ,with windows vista basic. I have a lot of glare on some of my videos, some from shooting through a window and some from shutting into the sun at the wrong angle.( I did not have any other option) is there a filter or setting to help reduce some of it? I would appreciate any help from experinced users. I am new at this.
You might get some improvement by using the Effect>Image Control, and experimenting with the Contrast.
After that, I would explore adding, and adjusting, Three-Way Color Corrector.
There is not a lot that one can do with such reflections in post-production, unfortunately.
Maybe others will have some additional tips for you.
I have seen a lot mentioned about polarizing filters for the camera. Is that anything that would help you avoid the situation that you are in with the video glare?
I have not done much with regard to removing such video glare. I have seen color correction mentioned in that context, but not sure just how successful that will be.
Is there any way you can channel those glares to give an "artistic" video effect rather than glares in a video?
