1. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
web-weaver Aug 7, 2013 3:36 PM (in response to Picturequest)I don't think so. Would be nice though.
Consider making a feature request.

2. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
Picturequest Aug 7, 2013 3:49 PM (in response to web-weaver)Actually I meant from the HISTORY where it shows printed on..... Example, if I have several images I know I printed in the past. I can narrow down unprinted images from my search.

3. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
web-weaver Aug 7, 2013 3:57 PM (in response to Picturequest)Yes, I know.
But I don't know of any search parameter that would work for the History.

4. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
Pete.Green Aug 7, 2013 4:30 PM (in response to Picturequest)It does sound like a feature request, which can be posted here: http://phtshp.us/Feature_Request
I'm thinking that a workaround would be to add a keyword called something like "printed" and tag the photos you print off with this keyword.
Would that work?

5. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
web-weaver Aug 7, 2013 4:37 PM (in response to Pete.Green)yes, keywords are definitively a help - but not in the case of the OP who is searching for an image that doesn't have the keyword.

6. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
Pete.Green Aug 7, 2013 4:40 PM (in response to web-weaver)Agreed, it'd have to be added to [albeit late to the party] workflow, and spend a few moments going through those images that have already been printed and add the keyword to them.
This would be a one-time necessity and would help going forward until this sort of feature is implemented into LR.

7. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
Rob Cole Aug 7, 2013 5:49 PM (in response to Picturequest)This can be done using SQLiteroom. Instructions (after plugin installation):
1. Visit Plugin Manager - Choose 'Printed Images' in Preset Manager section, drop-down menu.
2. Check the 'Enable for startup batch file' box.
3. Make sure the path to Lightroom is correct - if not, click 'Browse' and choose the correct Lightroom executable file.
4. Make sure the path for startup batch file is acceptable...
5. Click the 'Save Startup Batch File' button (click 'Active Catalog' in subsequent dialog box).
6. Exit Lightroom, then use the saved batch file to restart Lightroom.
If all goes well, all printed images will be in a collection named 'Printed Images' in the 'rc SQLiteroom' collection set.
If all does not go well, please contact me outside the forum for plugin support.

8. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
Picturequest Aug 7, 2013 11:01 PM (in response to Rob Cole)Thanks, I will try this tomorrow. I definitely see where such a feature world be useful to the professional. The History panel is very powerful. Just needs to be searchable or meta taggable.

9. Re: Can you filter (search) images that have been printed?
PaulSumberg Sep 24, 2013 10:44 AM (in response to Picturequest)I've been looking all through LR5 for a method to do this. I dont think it exists. It would be really handy to filter or search my catalog for images that have been printed. I'm glad you asked the question. Maybe on a future release. I began keywording (or trying to remember to add a "print" keyword) the images I print a year ago. I always keyword images when I import and develop. It may be months or even years later when I print the image and frankly I forget to update the keywords most of the time. My bad. Since the data is in history, it should be fairly easy to add a search filter to locate these images.
