Sorry for double posting. I pressed stop when was loading to add one more word, and it appears that it posed twice.
the answer depends upon what you mean by changing a movieclip "...to another MC".
because you can't actually change a movieclip into another movieclip the answer is no. but because that's not what you really want, there is probably a way, with actionscript, to do what you really want.
I dind't explained corectly. I have a movieClip and i press on it several times. After a certain number of clicks have been made i want this clip to disappear and another one to appear instead of the first one.
I can do this with several frames and a command (NextFrame). But i was wondering if there is another way, through ActionScrip, maybe a way to record each click or the total clicks and trigger the change MC action when the total click number is reached.
yes you can simply count the click on the object, and then replace it with a newly loaded object from the library. But you will need to set some things up in order to do so. first an array of MC 'Linkage Identifier' id names of MC you have created and remove from the Stage but remain in the Library. To do this, create an MC, then delete it, click on the symbol in the Library, right click select 'linkage...' , select 'export for actionscript', and type in an id name for that MC.
then set up the following code on frame 1:
Thanks a lot. I'll go and try it.
I have a question.
If the count is less than the limit flash should count++. What does count++ mean? I understand that being less the limit triggers the action, but i don't know what shoud it do through count++
the '++' is called an 'increment operator' and it increases a var value by 1, so each time the button is pressed it will increase the value of 'count' by 1.
