When I select the regular Arial narrow as font in any Indesign document (or any other adobe program for that matter) I get the italic version of the font. I already tried to fix it by resetting the default settings of Indesign, but that didn't work. In my windows font system I have 4 different styles for arial narrow, in Indesign just 1 (says arial narrow but is arial narrow italic).
If I use regular Arial narrow in e.g. word, I get the actual regular font instead of italic, so no problem there.
I have a 3-week old new PC with windows 7 and have creative cloud, so everything should be compatible.
Any one have a solution to fix this?
Arial narrow is and has been a troublesome font since Microsoft changed it a few years back. I avoid it at all cost since there are a ton of better alternatives anyway.
Thank you all for your comments. Unfortionally I'm working with a range of designs (labels) that my collegue started up, so I'll have to work with arial for a long time. But I'll stay away of arial narrow from now on .
