Using Photoshop CC on a Mac running the newest versions of everything and I am having trouble getting the eyedropper to work properly. I have a text layer selected and I've always been able to switch to the eyedropper and change the colour of the text directly. I chatted with Adobe support and they got me to delete my preferences folder. It worked after that the next time I opened Photoshop but then the next time, stopped working again. Delete preferences folder again and it works but after the first try it stops working everytime.
Anyone else seeing this happen or have any ideas what could be causing this?
Your preferences files are obviously being corrupted in an ongoing fashion. You need to troubleshoot your system, starting with your Photoshop installation, and your OS as well as your hardware.
Look for any hacks, plug-ins or extensions, bad or corrupted fonts, etc.
Did your issue ever get fixed? A couple years later still having the same problem on 5K mac.
