The support for Oracle 12c is there in ColdFusion 11. As of now, we don't have any plans to add this support in ColdFusion 9/10
Adobe Advanced ColdFusion Certified Developer (ADB184437)
Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g can be used with ColdFusion 10 whereas Oracle 12c would be supported with ColdFusion 11.
You can check list of supported databases for ColdFusion 10 from its support matrix link https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/coldfusion/pdfs/cf10/coldfusion10-supp ort-matrix.pdf
Oracle 12c uses container / plugin architecture.
CF11 can't connect to the plugin, but it will connect to the container.
Unfortunately, all the extra security goodies are designed for the plugin database; not the container.
