I'm using the Project Manager to export a trimmed timeline sequence. Everything works as it should except sometimes Premiere seems to change the timecode from the original clip. So when I open the trimmed and exported sequence the new clips are there and the edits are all fine. However the new clips cleated by the Project manager has different timecode than the original clips. The timecode is not off by much. One is 11 frames off, another is 41 frames off. The duration is the same but the timecode is new. Any ideas why Premiere changes the original timecode?
It may be because you have trimmed your clips at a point where the long GOP does not sit at the beggining of the GOP (grouo of pictures).
What codec is your footage using?
MiniDV so No GOP.
From what I've experienced using Premiere it's a bug and won't be fixed. However, I'm just hoping this has been seen before and someone knows this problem well.
