Premiere Pro doesn't have a 'canvas'. Are you working in Photoshop?
My video previews are showing 1920 x 1080, but my image area is 4:3.
They are greyed out, unadjustable.
The "frame size" says that too, but the frame is really 640.
I think i need to reset the sequence settings somehow.
Also, even tho I have 640, it looks good enough larger, so
i want to produce this whole thing larger. Do I do that now in
"sequence", or simply upon output?
I'm not sure what you have going on but if you drag one of your source footage clips to the 'new item' button in the lower right side of your project panel it will create a new sequence that matches your footage. I hope that helps.
You need to match the Sequence Settings to same as the Source footage.
eg your images match your "canvas"
Do I then have to copy/paste everything I have done so far, into that new timeline?
Yes. You can actually delete the clip you used to create the new sequence and then click somewhere in the timeline panel on your original sequence, then Ctrl/Cmd+A to select everything and copy and paste all of it into the new sequence.
Perfect, Thank you very much. I kinda forgot this procedure.
Only problem is now play head wont move. I guess restart
Yeah, I don't know why your playhead won't move. Save before you restart! Glad it helped.
