    Newbie: Placing Photo

    TabithaSpottybott

I'm on Day 1 of getting to grips with InDesign, after using Photoshop for my basic design projects for years. I'm having difficulty with the photograph that I want to use as the background for my image – it's an enormous, commercial quality TIFF image, but it pixillates like a mobile phone snapshot when I place in it my A4-sized InDesign document. Clearly I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to fathom it – I'm wondering if it's something to do with the scaling process (the photo is too large for the workspace, so I scale it down just by using the drag handles). Any help would be appreciated!
