    Webapp Question

    Asad 6SM Community Member

      Hi All

I am building a supplier side for my client and the initial scope was to build a webapp which the client would populate. Having thought about it I thought it would be easier if I used a Webapp.

I have built the webapp and ticked that it should allow people to add items but when I hit submit it asks for a Secure Zone Login.

At this point the person submitting is requesting that they become a supplier and are not an approved supplier just yet. Once the client has verified that they can become an approved supplier this will be enabled and show on the website.

How do I get around the issue of it requesting a secure zone login? Should I be using a form instead?

      Thanks

Here's an article that'll help you do that, but in my opinion, your are better off using a form with a, say 'new-supplier-application' workflow. You can then just extend the CRM with approved or denied fields.

Doing it with a web app will kind'a create a lot of additional administering...

            Hi Dave,

Thanks for the link, I had just about managed to figure it out.

I understand what your saying with the form but the reason for doing it this way is to collect as much information as possible using the webapp, if the supplier is then agreed we just enable the webapp and it displays under the suppliers section. With the form it would mean still having to transfer the data across to the which would be more work then populatiing a new Supplier details.

What BC need to do is allow us to use CRM tags across webapp items so we can tie it all in an it would reduce the processes.

Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help.
