I would like to see a rectangular/trapezoidal filter implemted besides the already existing radial one.
Prime example would be windows that are overexposed but still have highlight detail in the RAW file or the outside just has a differrent colour balance. With todays sensors windows aren't just blown out anymore and the adjustment brush is often way to slow for the task of a quick fix.
Apart from windows pretty much everything manmade needs rectangular/trapezoidal adjustments more often than radial ones.
Is this likely to happen anytime soon?
I thought that was what the auto mask in the adjustment bruish was for.
The auto masking isn't that good to be used for quick fixes. Drawing a rectangle/trapez takes like one second, with the brush you need much more time than that.
Also, you can animate the gradient and radial filters for timelapse shots where the camera moves. You can't do that with the brush (if you could it would be a nightmare to handle).
On a side note: The adjustment brush still has those unexpected slowdowns in ACR8.x that don't seem to be hardware related, but that isn't something I would open a new thread for.
