    Footage not available after import

Whenever I import footage (all formats), Premiere (Pro, 5.0, PC Win 7 64-bit) acts like the footage has been loaded (all panels become active) but, it is not available for use.  Premiere indicates that no source clips are available. Also, my drag and drop has been disabled. I had used Premiere hundreds of times before this problem occurred. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

When Premiere is acting weird, start Premiere by holding down alt+shift.

Then clean out the Media cash.

And update to the latest CS5 version.

I tried the alt+shift start and wasn't sure how to actually start Premiere in this manner. So, I just cleaned the media cache and made sure the progam is up-to-date. That didn't work.

However, I did just find my problem when I opened an old project. I didn't know this, but apparently, even though there is footage in the Project window, the Source  window still shows no clips. That makes no sense to me. Anyway, thanks for your help!
