Not enough information. We don't understand what's happening.
Should have been more explicit (sorry)
As I write my paragraphs, I have set them to full justify. Sometimes this causes the words to appear as if they run together with no space in between (even though there is actual space)
I'm trying left-justify now, and the appearance is better but I am still getting the occasional "run-together"
I need help with making the paragraphs look uniform with the roper spacing between the words. can you help?
Take a look at the Justification settings you are using. You might want to change the minimum value for word spacing to a larger number (and a lrger number for the maximum might allow the words to spread out more rather than squash together, but don't go too far or it will look like there are multiple spaces), and not allow letter spacing at all, or only about 1%. You should also get better results using the Paragraph Composer than you will with the Single Line Composer.
The width of the column relative to the type size is also a major factor, espically if hyphenation is not allowed. Wider columns allow a lot more flexibility because they tend to have more word spaces to adjust.
And you might want to turn on the highlight for H&J Violations in the composition section of the prefs. ID often needs to break the rules in order to make the text work at all.
