What is your system specs -- especially the screen resolution and the processor?
Are you sure you're running a 64 bit version of Windows? Just having a 64 bit processor is not enough.
From the system page:
ASUS Laptop Computer from ASUSTEK Computer Inc.
Processor: Intel Core i7 ... 2.00 GHz
RAM: 12 GB
System Type: 64 bit
Service Pack: SP1
Additionaly, since it is possible to run a 32 bit version of the OS on a 64 bit cpu here is the header of the log from the sql server installation that I run on this same laptop.

I've been working with computers since 1976, so I do realize that you don't always know the skill sets of the folks you are dealing with. Once when I was working at MS as a Sql Server support enginneer I has a lady on the phone that could barely send an email with an attachment let alone diagnose what was wrong with her sql server installation.
What might have been a bit more helpful is if you had a question of what OS version and edition that I was running you send along instructions on how to tell what it was.
In the mean time, please see my reply to Bob as to whether I have a 64 bit OS or not.
Have a great day.
