What kind of font?
What is the EXACT name of the font's folder?
MinionPro-It (open type font file)
MinionPro-Regular (open type font file)
All of these were sent to me in a zip file, in opening the zip i do get an encyption error regarding the Document Fonts.
Should the Documents Fonts be in the folder with the acutal indd file or in the folder called fonts within InDesign or is it something else?
The dfonts will never work on Windows, and I suspect the other fonts may also be Mac format uan unusable on your system. You can verify that by checking the file size. Mac fonts will show 0kb.
The Document Fonts folder should be in the same folder as the .indd file, but if the fonts it contains are not compatible, it won't matter.
Thanks, where do I find those? Wh is this so hard to do I must have spend at least 5 hours on this problem trying to find the right fonts and get the document folder to work. Is there a place to buy the fonts I need or to have the mac user who sent me the files send me files that are compatible for me?
You will have to replace the Mac-type font of Helvetica to the one you have purchased.
Because the Mac fonts won't work, and the document uses those fonts and not the ones you purchased, you still have one more step to go.
Type > Find Font...
Each of the missing fonts will have an icon next to it showing it is missing. Select them one at a time and then choose your newly purchased font of the same face and weight and "replace All." Check the box to update styles, too.
