I am finishing up this catalog for my company and I am going through the index, which is eight pages divided into three columns per page. I'm happy with the design and how well the index turned out, except it gets confusing when groups of subcategories (Index Level 2) start off new columns without any context from the parent category (Index Level 1). I would really like the top of each column to indicate when orphaned subcategories belong to their parent category when divided across multiple columns (i.e. "continued from 'Index Level 1'" at the top of each column when needed). Is there any way I can automate this process? When all is said and done, I don't mind manually inputting this text, but if I ever rebuild the index, I would lose all that work.
