How do I activate hover state for a text box and image simultaneously

      Hi,

I'm having problems for setting up (what I think) is a simple thing.

This problems happens in 2 places.

1st - I have a square as a bakground, that acts as a box in which I have a text box and an image frame.

All this elements should act as a button. I don't want to create it as a button on photoshop, as I intend to have the ability to edit the text (it's a simple description).

I'm able to set it up to act as a button, but I'm unable to simulteneously active an hotspot for the box (or text frame) and the image, so they act as one.

I have an hotspot on the text box, but not on the image.

Tried grouping, but don't get a grouped hover state.

Since the text box hover state tints the box, I can't put it over the image, because I don't want it to change.

I believe a composition could do it, but does it really thake a widget for such a simple action?

2nd - I left that issue pending and went along, but now I'm facing a simillar issue.

I have a text box, that when in the hover state shows up an icon (its a pdf link and I want it to show the pdf icon on 'hover').

I set the normal state as wanted, and opted to do a 'real size' picture fill, pinned to the left on 'hover' and 'Mouse down'.

The problem is that when I change the fill in one state, it keeps changing it in the others. It's not possible to change fills in states?

Tried to apply fill to all states and change opacitiy on the 'hover' and 'mouse down', but it also changes in the others states.

Am I doing it wrong? Must I create a Photoshop button for this - didn't want to since I'll have this smae effect in 14 text boxes (each line is a file)?

      All help will be appreciated.

      Thanks

Hi! Great question btw, it really got me thinking... and if I am correct in how I've read your email, I may have cracked it for you.

Try inserting the image as normal in Muse > using the crop tool, extend the image bounding box to encompass the text you want included within the button > Create the hover effects etc you so wish and when you've done that, group the text and image box together.

It seemed to work for me - again that's if I am correct in how I read your post - but feel free to download the muse file and HTML I created for you to try it out. the link is as follows: http://madissonstudios.com//Muse CC

            Hi MadissonStudios.

Thanks for the time you took to try and help me out.

I can't access the link (even correcting the double '//' or the space in the link.

I've followed your sugesttion and tested it but didn't work. The hover state is always for the top layer (z order) and the hover state of the image fills over the text. If I put the text over, it covers the image. Grouping didn't make a difference.

Maybe I'm getting your indications wrong, but without access to the file, I don't see another way I could have done it any different.

            Thanks once more.
