      How can I transfer a downloaded pdf file to my documents file to forward to OpenOffice for editing?  I have Windows 7 with Firefox

          Can OpenOffice edit PDF files? I don't use it much but I don't think it can.

           

          But to save an online pdf file to your hard drive, right-click on the link to the PDF and choose "Save link as".

            Thanks for your suggestion but right clicking on the link does not bring up "save as".  I originally had the file in question in documents but it ended up in downloads only after I printed it.  It is a mystery how to get it back to documents so it can be opened to edit with Open Office.

                Amazing as it may seem, this has never been done before and it worked, of course.  The simplicity of it astounds me.  Thank you so much for your wisdom.
