I'm having a bit of a nuisance that I'm sure once I know the answer to, I'm going to slap myself in the head for not knowing it.
I just recently downloaded the free trial for Adobe Premiere Pro CC. I imported some MOV files and an mp3 file to get started on a project I'm working on. Although I can play them in their folders, I can't for the life of me drag the files to the Timeline. It won't let me. Even the mp3 isn't allowed to be in the Timeline. I used MPEG Streamclip to convert one of the MOV files into an mp4, and that wasn't working. I tried another mp4 file, one not related to my current project, and THAT wasn't working. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated!
And I don't know if the mov or mp3 files are Source Patched or not. Someone suggested that but I don't know how to fix it. Thanks!
What's new is in CC is that you are not presented anymore with a window to make a new seqeunce for in the timeline.
So import some footage and do this:
New to Premiere Pro? Get started with your first project
That was incredibly helpful. Thanks!
