Permissions preventing media from being re-linked

      Hi there,

I'm working on a CS6 project that recently crashed. Upon re-opening it a lot of the media appears to be offline and when I try to link the clips I get the message: "You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner..."

I have tried running Premiere as Administrator but this has not solved the problem. Any ideas on how I can re-link the files successfully?

Additionally; after skipping all the missed clips to take a look the project, some of the clips have a blank thumbnail and the contents of them appear to have been erased. Any thoughts on this?

      Many thanks...

Create a new Premiere Pro project and see if you can successfully import one of the unlinked clips from the other project.  If you can, then import the old project into the new project.  If that doesn't work, your old Pr project file may be corrupted, in which case you'll need to work from a backup copy -- either one you made or one of Pr's auto-save projects.
