When installing the Flash Player, a screen ask for my Mac Username and Password.  I have never set up a Username and Password.

How do I get around this and complete the installation?

It is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to set up Mac OS X without a Username... "not no way, not no how". You can skip the password, but there HAS to be a Username and sooner or later, (as you see here) you're going to need a password.

Open your system Preferences and click the Users & Groups preference pane. There you can add a password to your user account.
