1. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Curt Y Aug 23, 2013 5:31 PM (in response to hlef)A single click should just display image in Bridge. Most likely a mouse setting. Check the double click option, it may be too fast.

2. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 23, 2013 5:51 PM (in response to Curt Y)I set the double-click settings to the lowest possible speed, and I unchecked the option to simply tap to click. Any image which I single-clicked on simply opened in Photoshop. By the way, I am using a 2009 model MacBook Pro, with Mountain Lion as my operating system.

3. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Curt Y Aug 23, 2013 6:02 PM (in response to hlef)Can you try another mouse , preferably a wired one? Noting in Bridge should control this.

4. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 23, 2013 6:30 PM (in response to Curt Y)I would have to buy a mouse. Or maybe I should go to my local Apple Store and borrow one to test this out.

5. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 1:35 AM (in response to hlef)What kind of mouse you have and what OSX version?
What version of Bridge you have?
What kind of files are you opening?
Have you tested on other files, e.g. one click on the same file in Finder to see if this has same behavior?
Did it always act so or did it happen al of a sudden, maybe after installing other stuf?

6. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 24, 2013 1:44 AM (in response to Omke Oudeman)I am using the trackpad on my 2009 model 15" MacBook Pro, running OSX 10.8.4.
I am using the latest version of Bridge CC, as updated by the Creative Cloud App.
This only applies to image files clicked on in Bridge, NOT the same files in the Finder or other apps, and this DOES NOT happen if I select files using the arrow keys on the keyboard instead of the mouse.
As far as I can remember, this happening ever since I first joined Creative Cloud. I started using Adobe Creative Cloud about 3 weeks before the CC versions of the apps were released.

7. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 1:57 AM (in response to hlef)Have you already tried to reset Bridge Prefs? (Hold down option key while restarting Bridge and choose reset prefs to reset them to factory defaults)
And do you still have Bridge CS6 installed? If so can you run this and check if it has the same behavior.

8. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 24, 2013 2:49 AM (in response to Omke Oudeman)Resetting the prefs did not make a difference, and i only have Bridge CC installed.

9. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 3:34 AM (in response to hlef)Can you use the creative cloud app to download the PSCS6 edition again (contains also Bridge CS6) and see if this has the same behavior.
-
10. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 24, 2013 3:38 AM (in response to Omke Oudeman)I can only access the CC versions (except for Fireworks) in the Creative Cloud app.

11. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 5:04 AM (in response to hlef)You have to use the download centre for Creative Cloud for this:
https://creative.adobe.com/products
Be sure to sign in with your Adobe ID and select the Photoshop Icon. Then on this PS page you can select the version you want, you should be able to select and download the CS6 version with your CC subscription

12. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 24, 2013 9:03 AM (in response to Omke Oudeman)I did that. The only difference is that now, if I go into Bridge CS6 and single click on an image file, it opens it in Photoshop CS6!
My only consolation is that at least I now have the export function back in Bridge. But that's another story for another thread I participated in.

13. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 1:47 PM (in response to hlef)I can't find any setting in Bridge prefs that could cause this behavior, however I do have a wireless trackpad with my Mac Pro (still can't get really used to it at the moment I'm afraid) and inhere under system prefs I can set the option to click with one finger which causes this behavior in Bridge.
Can you check if the lap top trackpad also has such a setting?

14. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
hlef Aug 24, 2013 2:02 PM (in response to Omke Oudeman)I have that same setting on my MacBook Pro's trackpad (and in fact tried
changing it last night when using Bridge CC, with no success), and when I
tried changing it, the same problem still occurred with Bridge CS6.

15. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Omke Oudeman Aug 24, 2013 2:41 PM (in response to hlef)Then I'm running out of of options I'm afraid. It is certainly not normal behavior
You can try a new user account just for testing to check if it has the same behavior, just to rule out the current user account as the cause.
And off course back to post 3 where Curt suggested the use of a mouse, I would try to visit your local Apple Store with your MacBookPro and explain the problem, I'm sure they will try it with a wired or wireless mouse for you.

16. Re: Bridge is too sensitive.
Pachacroute Oct 4, 2013 6:11 AM (in response to hlef)@hlef : I suffer from the exact same problem. Did you manage to find a solution to it ? Also what mouse do you use ?
