Have you tried to update the application to the latest version?? That would be my first suggestion try updating the application,.

Have you also tried the steps for troubleshooting the user profile specific error??
Can you un-install InDesign and once it is Un-installed check in the Folder Applications whether a folder for Adobe InDesign CC still exists. If so Delete that folder manually and remove from trash.
Then install InDesign CC again. Do this from your admin account.

Thanks for your suggestions, I could not access the web addrss supplied, firefox could not find the server.
doing as suggested was the correct answer, as the Indesign folderCC stil remained after an uninstall,.
